October Monthly Family Meal Plan

Earlier this year I decided to change our family food shopping habits to make life just that bit easier. We went from every week ( plus added extras) to one great big monthly food shop!!! It has changed our lives!!

I used to dread the food shop every single week. Dragging my little ones around a supermarket was far from fun, but something which was a necessity. Apart from the alternative of shopping on line at branded supermarkets, I found that my options were limited with shopping on a budget.

Therefore, we switched to one monthly food shop and guess what we haven’t looked back!!! It has given us more family time, better planned and prepared meals and halved the amount we have spent. Yes sometimes we still need top ups, the bread just doesn’t keep and I eat all the eggs before the second week. But it is sooo much better and it suits our busy family.

If you would like to find out more about my monthly food shops, including several filmed hauls of exactly what I buy head over to my You Tube channel and find them there in a saved playlist. Alternatively you can find lots more information saved to my highlights on my Instagram page

If your thinking of trying monthly food shops and have a question feel free to comment below and I will get back to you.

This it is my monthly food plan for October.

Its a four week meal plan with lots of doubles to make sure we get the most out of the food we have brought. If you see a ‘1/2’ symbol that means when I cook it I need to freeze half for later in the month. If you see a ‘F’ symbol this means I need to get the ready frozen meal out of the freezer.
